The field of aviation has witnessed remarkable advancements in recent years, with civil aviation serving
as a vital aspect of global transportation. To ensure
the highest levels of safety and efficiency, the training of
aviation professionals has become an essential focus for the
industry.

This lecture aims to provide a comprehensive review of
the current state of civil aviation training, examining its
strengths, challenges, and potential areas for improvement.

The lecture will begin by highlighting the importance of
rigorous training in the aviation sector. With millions of passengers relying on the aviation industry for travel, it is crucial to maintain the highest standards of training for pilots.
The existing training programs, ranging from flight schools
to simulator sessions, will be examined for their effectiveness in preparing individuals for the demands of the profession.
We see in the last decade a shift towards new, modern
training methodology such as CBTA (Competency-Based
Training and Assessment), EBT (Evidence Based Training)
and MPL (Multi Pilot License). What are those new methods, how do they differ from what we knew?

How is technology going to help improve the efficiency of
the training?

Jacques Drappier will try to answer your questions on these
issues.
